Overview
An established design-build construction firm is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (Traveling) to oversee commercial construction projects from planning through completion. This role plays a key leadership function in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships and high quality standards.

The Role
The Construction Manager will lead on-site project execution across multiple commercial construction projects, coordinating subcontractors, schedules, and project logistics to ensure successful delivery. Success in this role means maintaining a well-organized jobsite, managing documentation and communication across stakeholders, and ensuring that project milestones, safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently achieved.
This role works closely with the Project Management team, subcontractors, and clients to maintain alignment across all phases of construction.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Owner, Architect, and Contractor coordination meetings to ensure alignment on project progress and requirements.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change requests, and project documentation alongside the project management team.
- Coordinate construction activities to ensure work aligns with project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors to communicate project expectations and requirements.
- Establish and maintain jobsite operations, including field office setup and logistics planning.
- Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractor scheduling, and procurement timelines.
- Maintain and update short-term look-ahead schedules and facilitate project scheduling meetings.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Oversee quality control throughout the construction process and support project closeout activities including punch lists and final inspections.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.
- Experience serving as Lead Superintendent on projects valued at $5M or greater.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and field operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to implement and follow company policies, procedures, and standards.

- Experience using Procore construction management software.
