The Construction Manager is a senior, onsite leadership role responsible for directing all phases of data center construction, with a strong emphasis on structured cabling, low‑voltage systems, safety, and field team performance. This position oversees daily site operations, ensures technical excellence, drives schedule and budget adherence, and serves as the primary onsite partner for the client.
This role requires a hands‑on leader with deep technical knowledge, strong supervisory experience, and the ability to manage large field teams in fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.

Direct Hire: Up to $145,000/year (must be open to up to 50% U.S. travel after local project completion)
Contract or Contract‑to‑Hire: $62.50–$69.71/hr (exempt weekly salary broken down hourly for invoicing)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00am–4:00pm (after‑hours/weekends as needed)
Location: Daily onsite at client site in Bowling Green, OH 43402
New site expected to be fully operational within 4–6 months
Two nearby active sites currently supported
Travel: 15%–50%, depending on project phase (higher after local project completion)
Supervision: Direct oversight of 60–100+ field technicians (union experience required)

The Construction Manager leads all onsite construction activities for large‑scale data center projects, including planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and closeout. This role ensures safety compliance, manages labor and scheduling, resolves design conflicts, oversees quality control, and maintains strong client relationships. The CM is the senior subject‑matter expert for structured cabling, fiber systems, and low‑voltage infrastructure.
Champion a zero‑incident safety culture across all site activities
Enforce safety standards, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement practices
Support incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions
Lead development and execution of project plans, installation strategies, and site logistics
Maintain and manage 5‑week look‑ahead schedules, labor forecasts, and daily progress tracking
Coordinate with Project Management and Procurement to ensure timely material delivery and staging
Oversee daily field operations to meet production goals, budget targets, and schedule milestones
Serve as the senior SME for structured cabling, low‑voltage systems, and fiber installations
Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS, and all customer specifications
Lead testing and commissioning activities (OTDR, power meter validation, labeling, QA protocols)
Identify design gaps, field conflicts, and scope changes; drive RFIs and clarifications
Manage large field teams (60–100+ technicians), including union crews
Conduct hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
Provide technical coaching to elevate workmanship and productivity
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and craftsmanship
Act as the primary onsite liaison for the client
Participate in site walks, technical discussions, milestone reviews, and coordination meetings
Proactively address workflow challenges, delays, installation issues, and tactical execution needs
Oversee QA/QC processes, punch‑list resolution, and adherence to quality standards
Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify issues, hazards, or inefficiencies
Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, pathway management, and installation records
Support preventative maintenance planning and inspections
Own the change management process, identifying scope impacts early
Communicate changes promptly and drive resolution to maintain alignment with schedule and budget
3–5+ years of construction management experience on large‑scale structured cabling or data center projects
Experience managing large field teams (60–100+), including union crews
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
Proficiency with:
MS Office, Bluebeam, Primavera P6
Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI)
Construction management platforms
Working knowledge of:
ISP systems, OTDR testing
Cabling standards, labeling, documentation
Rack/stack, infrastructure layouts
Quality control and punch‑list resolution
Vendor and cross‑trade coordination
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction schedules
Experience identifying design discrepancies and managing RFIs and technical change control
Strong communication, leadership, and conflict‑resolution skills
