About Our Client

Our client is an established architectural design practice specialising in high-end residential architecture. They are passionate about creating distinctive, beautifully considered spaces, with a strong focus on design quality, detail, and architectural excellence. The position is office-based in Menlyn, Pretoria.

The Role: Design Architect / Candidate Architect

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the design and development of high-end residential projects, taking projects from initial concepts through to detailed design and documentation. The successful candidate will bring strong architectural design ability, technical knowledge, and a portfolio that demonstrates a genuine eye for sophisticated residential design.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a minimum of 3 years' relevant architectural experience to develop architectural concepts and designs for high-end residential projects.

  • Produce detailed architectural drawings and technical documentation using ArchiCAD.

  • Work across various stages of projects, from concept and design development through to technical documentation.

  • Prepare design presentations, drawings, and visualisations for client and project discussions.

  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other members of the architectural team.

  • Maintain professional project documentation while ensuring deadlines, accuracy, and quality standards are met.

Desired Experience & Qualification

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant architectural experience.

  • Qualified Architect or Candidate Architect registered with SACAP.

  • Strong experience in high-end residential architecture.

  • Proficient in ArchiCAD.

  • A strong design portfolio showcasing relevant high-end residential projects.

  • Strong architectural design, technical documentation, visualisation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, sophisticated design aesthetic, and good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team.

  • Experience with Lumion is advantageous.
