The firm seeks a Director of Interior Design with 8+ years of experience in high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate must be professional, organized, personable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to problem solve, multi-task and work on deadlines. An individual who is a flexible team player, familiar with fast-paced environments and has a curious mindset will succeed in this position. Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) are a must, a passion for design and the history of art and architecture a plus.


Responsibilities:

- Lead the firms Interior Design division in partnership with the firm's Principals

- Oversee all projects and reports to the Principals on the status of each

- Establish the concept design and budgets and timeline for each job

- Lead all presentations and is the primary client contact

- Review and signs all Proposals, Purchase Orders and Shop Drawings

- Manage department staffing and workflows

- Maintain existing relationships with vendors and forge new ones that will be beneficial/applicable to the firm.

- Manage project photography and ID Portfolio with Director of Marketing and Principals

- Work closely with the Finance department and Principals to assist with Project Proposals, Contracts, and Agreements

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design.

-Strong proficiency in Design Manager, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, AutoCAD, FF&E selection, Hand Sketching

-Proficiency in Revit is a plus

-Thorough knowledge of (and relationships with) suppliers and interior design, art and auction markets, locally and globally

-Knowledge of all components of architecture, construction, trades, decorative arts, materials, finishes, furniture fabrication and space planning

-Fluency in reading architectural and furniture plans and elevations

-Experience managing photoshoots

-Application must include a portfolio for consideration
