RPO Recruitment's client, a well-established Electrical Consulting Engineering firm is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join its Durban office. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional with extensive construction management experience on large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the construction and successful delivery of electrical engineering projects from inception through to completion.
- Oversee contractors and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors and clients throughout the construction phase.
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, progress and reporting.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality management procedures.
Requirements:
- High Mast Lighting design and construction management.
- Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical projects.
- Solar energy design and implementation projects.
- Construction management and contract administration.
- Structural assessments.
- Project planning and scheduling using MS Project.
- Experience managing projects with a construction value exceeding R25 million.
