Job description:

Ruby + Suede is a full-service interior design studio of Highmark Companies, located in Savage, MN. We are looking for an experienced Interior Design Project Manager to join our team. Interior Design Project Managers are a vital part of the design process. They work with Senior Interior designers on all projects focusing on design documentation, design process schedule, support of project build team, and all administrative functions needed throughout the design cycle. This position’s main purpose is to provide efficiencies throughout our creative process, keep projects on budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Buildertrend (construction project management software) compliance (PROJECT) - Schedules, Selection, Change Order communication to Coordinators, PO's and
  • Create and manage design schedules
  • Job starts – setting up meeting and selection schedule, H drive folders, binder, etc.
  • WIP (work in progress) updates
  • Remodel design refinement (red lines, schedules, renderings, etc.)
  • Chief Plans Derived from Architect
  • Setting up vendors for each job (which was picked per the budget)
  • Specifications/CDs . - Schedules (room finish, tile, etc.)?, Technical drawings: tile, fireplace, electrical, plumbing, etc. Documents:? Exterior, flooring layouts, millwork, lighting, countertops, cabinet hardware, wallpaper, bath accessories/mirrors, etc.?
  • Template Management
  • Selection Organization. Creating power points before meetings with selection information. Editing after meetings per designer feedback. Getting selection information ready for builder trend upload and order; sending to HMB?PM team
  • Obtaining pricing for selections
  • Communications with Builders PM regarding selection timeline/information
  • Meeting with designer after selection meeting to edit specs or prep for next meeting.
  • Furniture designs/layouts/concepts (Shared with SDs)
  • Furniture tracking and ordering
  • Furniture damage control
  • Job site visits to obtain videos/photos for social media and posting.
  • Obtaining samples and Returning Samples (Shared with SDs)
  • Design Center Upkeep? (Shared with SDs)
  • Job sample upkeep (clearing islands after meetings, ordering samples as needed for a job, clearing baskets when job is done)
  • Timecard
  • Manage Programs To-Dos
  • Complete various tasks as requested by management.
  • Consults with: Supervisors, Interior Design Staff, Project Managers & Subcontractors
Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the practices and principles of interior design : 1 year (Required)
  • ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Preparation of proposals for interior design work : 1 year (Required)
  • Chief Architect?design software : 1 year (Preferred)
  • Creative thinking in developing, designing and creating new applications and ideas
  • Knowledge of the practices and principles of interior design
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of CAD or other Computer –aided design software
  • The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the preparation of proposals and specifications for interior design work
  • Have an associate degree or certificate in a 2-3 year program, or a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design / Fine Arts. Or enrolled in an Interior design program and looking for an apprenticeship.

Salary Description
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00
