About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and talented Designer to join the Cole West design team. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for the development and execution of innovative interior design solutions that meet the functional, financial and aesthetic needs of our many projects in both northern and southern Utah. From conceptualization to implementation, you will play a key role in the success of each residential, multi-family, commercial, and mixed-use project at Cole West.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design thoughtful, functional, and intentional spaces based on each project’s needs while maintaining the Cole West aesthetic.
- Create innovative design concepts, and presentations for various types of projects in collaboration with VP.
- Oversee, coordinate or assist with the design of model homes, amenity area spaces, spec homes or staging.
- Manage all phases of the design process, from concept to final installation.
- Source and procure finishes, plumbing, appliances, furniture, lighting and accessories that align with the design vision and project budget.
- Ensure accuracy in all Spec Books, Finish Schedules and Furniture Schedules.
- Oversee project timelines and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Participate in install planning and execution of each project with the design team.
- Work with closely with architecture team drafting interior elevation or detail drawings in Revit.
- Maintain thoughtful documentation and record keeping of projects and meetings.
- Coordinate with vendors, architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, best practices, and technologies to continuously bring fresh ideas to each project.
- Ability to lead small scale projects with guidance from VP.
- Other tasks or projects as directed by the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in interior design.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Highly skilled in design software including Revit, AutoCAD, Programa and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and design trade vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively while exhibiting a strong sense of professional maturity.
- Problem solver and ability to develop innovative solutions for each project’s needs.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
- Possess strong verbal, written and technical communication skills that can be applied in conversations with clients, coworkers, architects, trades and builders.
- Must be proactive and willing to go the extra mile.

- Travel required for project installations, site visits and coordination as needed (including southern Utah).
