Interior Designer I – Entry-Level Junior-Level Opportunity in Architecture & Interior Design
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid flexibility)

A nationally recognized architecture and interior design firm is seeking a motivated Interior Designer I to join its collaborative design studio. This is a dynamic opportunity for early-career professionals looking to contribute to meaningful projects, grow their technical skills, and work alongside experienced mentors in a supportive and creative environment.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or early professionals who bring curiosity, design sensibility, and a desire to work on interior environments that inspire.

What You’ll Do:
  • Assist with design concepts, documentation, and detailing across multiple phases of projects

  • Support the team with presentation preparation including sketches, renderings, and boards

  • Conduct product and materials research and contribute to FF&E specifications

  • Gain hands-on experience in construction administration tasks and field visits

  • Learn how to navigate project budgets, building codes, and professional practice processes

  • Help maintain visual standards across deliverables

  • Collaborate with senior team members and respond proactively to evolving project needs

  • Continue developing your design and technical skills across software platforms

  • Participate in mentorship opportunities and pursue ongoing learning

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (CIDA-accredited program) or a B.Arch

  • Internship or academic studio experience in interior or architectural design

  • A design portfolio showcasing creativity and understanding of spatial design

  • Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to ask questions, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities

Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with:
    ▪ Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
    ▪ SketchUp and Enscape
    ▪ Microsoft Office

  • Willingness to build proficiency in:
    ▪ Revit and AutoCAD
    ▪ Furniture specification platforms like Designer Pages

  • Experience working on Windows-based systems

Preferred But Not Required:

  • Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

  • Experience in a professional design studio setting
