Requirements:
- BSc/BTech/National Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or related field
- Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr.CM) – non-negotiable
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience within the construction industry
- Proven experience managing building construction projects from inception through to completion
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, programming, quality control, and cost management
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and project resources
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and construction regulations
- Sound understanding of JBCC and other relevant construction contracts
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's licence
Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects
- Manage and coordinate daily site operations and construction activities
- Develop and monitor construction programmes to ensure projects remain on schedule
- Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project resources
- Monitor project budgets, costs, quality, and productivity
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and regulations
- Drive health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across the project
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and other professional team members
- Chair site and project meetings and maintain accurate project records
- Identify and resolve technical, commercial, and operational challenges
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
