We are currently seeking a Project Architect I to join our Columbus office.

 

What You’ll Do:
The Project Architect I will play a key role in delivering thoughtful, functional, and innovative design solutions across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects. This position is ideal for a licensed architect with approximately five years of professional experience who is ready to take ownership of design and project coordination while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team.

 

You will lead projects from conceptual design through construction documentation and administration, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams. Our Architecture Group’s work spans a broad range of project types, including:

  • Large Commercial / Public Sector
  • Federal/Dept of Defense / military
  • Community/Municipal projects (civic centers, libraries, govt’ buildings, recreation),
  • Education (higher education and K-12) 
  • Justice
  • Residential
  • Workplace
  • Hospitality
  • Healthcare
  • Historic Restoration
  • Religious Facilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, coordination, and documentation of projects from concept through completion.
  • Develop and oversee the preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal disciplines to ensure project goals, budgets, and schedules are met.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance in design development and technical detailing.
  • Conduct code analysis, review technical documents for compliance, and manage quality control processes.
  • Participate in project presentations, proposals, and business development activities as needed.
  • Oversee construction administration tasks, including site visits, submittal reviews, and RFIs.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Licensed Architect (RA).
  • Approximately five years of architectural experience, with demonstrated responsibility for project leadership and client interaction.
  • Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with other design and visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
