Job Description:
We are seeking a senior operations leader who will not only be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the reconstruction process, from project planning to completion, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, but also has the capabilities, thought leadership, and drive to help rapidly scale the Reconstruction Department. The Reconstruction Manager will report directly to the VP of the company. The right individual will be an effective member of the senior management team with an active role in shaping and executing the divisional strategy. He or she will be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that is laser focused on customer service, operational execution, and growth.
This individual will have a strong track record of personnel and operations management as well as the ability to effectively lead and mentor employees. He or she should be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time-management and prioritization skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build solid ongoing relationships, is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of 12 skilled reconstruction professionals who plan and organize all aspects of reconstruction projects, including estimating, sales, scheduling, and resource allocation using DASH.
- Communication: Provide leadership using clear and concise communication with the team. Communicate progress and results to the VP daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Collaboration: Work with the Mitigation Department to improve attach rate of repair to sold mitigation work.
- Department Compliance: Ensuring that your team operates within the confines of local, State, and Federal law, as well as (but not limited to), OSHA, L&I, Manufacturer Guidelines, etc.
- Budget Control: Monitor project budgets and control costs using PowerBI and DASH reports on a daily or weekly basis as appropriate to make data-driven decisions and keep projects within budgetary constraints.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all reconstruction work meets or exceeds industry and company standards for quality and safety.
- Safety: Enforce safety protocols and standards to maintain a safe working environment for all team members and subcontractors.
- Permitting and Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and compliance requirements are met and maintained throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. Note: While a degree is preferred, we recognize that life/work experience speaks volumes to a candidate’s capabilities.
- Experience in reconstruction management, preferably in the restoration or construction industry.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ability to build and drive processes and procedures using repetition and coaching.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and client relations skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the state of Washington.
- Understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Xactimate, Dash, PowerBI, Microsoft Office, MICA, DocuSketch.
