Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced SACPCMP Registered Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects within the Western Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, sound technical knowledge, and extensive experience in construction project execution and site management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities from project initiation through to completion.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, contractual requirements, and building regulations.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular progress reports for management and clients.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards.
• Manage project schedules, labour resources, plant, and materials efficiently.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions where required.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, architects, and local authorities.
• Control site costs and assist with budget management.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input where necessary.
• Ensure proper site documentation, record keeping, and reporting are maintained.
• Drive productivity and maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism on site.

 
Minimum Requirements

• SACPCMP registration as a Professional Construction Manager (PrCM) or Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM).
• National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in construction management within commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing construction sites and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, project planning, and site operations.
• Excellent knowledge of South African building regulations and Occupational Health & Safety Act requirements.
• Proficient in MS Office and construction project management software.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Western Cape region.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of JBCC, NEC, or FIDIC contracts.
