Senior Architect for Data Center/Industrial projects

Role description:

This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) – Arcadis’ centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Philippines, Romania and India, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.
 

Arcadis' Romania office is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our dynamic Data Center team, contributing to a range of high-profile projects. 

This role requires proficiency, focus, and independence in carrying out both assigned and self-initiated tasks. The Senior Architect is expected to work with minimal supervision, applying broad knowledge of principles and practices in Data Center Design to deliver creative and technically sound solutions. The role involves interpreting complex requirements, developing original design responses, and addressing the unique needs of various market segments. Strong working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels are essential. The candidate is also expected to actively support team development, mentor others, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.

Role accountabilities:

• Deliver architectural design for data center and mission critical projects, aligned with client technical, operational and program requirements.
• Develop and coordinate data center architectural elements, including data halls, support spaces, ancillary buildings and site layouts.
• Interface with MEP, Structural, Fire Life Safety and Civil teams to deliver integrated, buildable and operationally efficient solutions.
• Support design development for phased construction, live-site environments and future expansion scenarios.
• Review architectural deliverables to ensure compliance with project standards, authority requirements and client guidelines.
• Contribute to global collaboration, technical reviews and mentorship of junior team members, in line with the Arcadis behavioral and safety framework.
   

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; Licensed Architect or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience in data center and mission critical facility design, including large-scale and multi-phase projects.
• Proven experience leading architectural scope and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across all project stages.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, strong client-facing skills, and experience working within international and global delivery teams.
• Good English skills.

The annual salary range for this position is 164,400 - 246,600 RON
