ArchiCAD Residential Architect (Full Time, California)
Do you enjoy designing single-family homes from concept through construction documents? Are you a design-oriented architect with deep ArchiCAD expertise and a strong understanding of wood framing construction? We're looking for a skilled ArchiCAD Residential Architect to join bB|A Studios' team remotely, supporting single-family residential projects across California from design development through permit and construction sets. This is a full-time remote opportunity, ideal for someone who thinks architecturally, communicates confidently in English, and is ready to hit the ground running.
BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.
What you'll do:
Contribute to the design process on single-family residential projects, from early concepts through CDs.
Develop 3D models and SD sets, including floor plans, sections, and elevations.
Produce full CD sets for permit submission to local authorities and coordination with general contractors.
Pick up redlines and update drawing sets efficiently and accurately.
Work directly in ArchiCAD across all project phases — modeling, documentation, and coordination.
Apply knowledge of wood framing construction to inform design decisions and documentation.
Collaborate closely with the bB|A Studios team, acting as an extension of their internal team.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders and help move projects forward with a degree of autonomy.
What you must have:
Strong ArchiCAD proficiency.
Advanced English proficiency — comfortable communicating directly with the client team.
Proven experience designing single-family homes, not only production or drafting work.
Solid understanding of wood framing construction and its documentation requirements.
Experience producing SD through CD sets, including permit sets and contractor deliverables.
Experience picking up redlines and maintaining drawing accuracy across project phases.
Familiarity with U.S. residential documentation standards and practices.
Ability to work remotely, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with autonomy.
We’ve got the opportunity, you’ve got the talent. We want to hear from you! Apply now.
