Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager (Client-Side) to lead site-based delivery on large-scale hyperscale Data Centre projects (50MW+).

Acting as the Owner’s Representative, you will oversee the General Contractor and supply chain, ensuring construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, and cost expectations.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strong site presence, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive performance through data, digital tools, and structured delivery processes.


Responsibilities

1. Construction Delivery & Site Leadership

· Act as the client-side lead for all on-site construction activities

· Oversee General Contractors, MEP contractors, and supply chain partners from mobilisation through to commissioning

· Ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme, design intent, quality standards, and safety requirements

· Drive site coordination across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP packages

· Lead daily, weekly, and monthly construction reporting and performance reviews


2. Contractor & Supply Chain Management

· Manage and challenge contractor performance to ensure alignment with project objectives

· Review and validate construction methodologies, sequencing, and logistics plans

· Monitor contractor resourcing, productivity, and progress against milestones

· Support resolution of site issues, delays, and coordination conflicts

· Ensure robust close-out processes, snagging, and handover procedures


3. Stakeholder & Client Interface

· Act as a key liaison between the client, contractors, consultants, and project teams

· Provide clear and structured updates on construction progress, risks, and opportunities

· Support Project Director and senior leadership in driving project outcomes

· Lead site meetings, coordination workshops, and stakeholder engagement sessions


4. Programme & Performance Management

· Work closely with Planning and Project Controls teams to ensure alignment between construction progress and programme

· Track performance using data-driven dashboards and reporting tools

· Identify risks to delivery and implement mitigation strategies

· Drive accountability across all contractors and work packages


5. Health, Safety & Quality Assurance

· Champion a zero-harm safety culture across all site activities

· Ensure all construction works comply with local regulations, project standards, and best practices

· Monitor quality assurance processes, inspections, and testing regimes

· Ensure compliance with commissioning and handover requirements


6. Digital & Innovation Integration

· Promote the use of BIM, digital field tools, and data analytics to enhance construction delivery

· Support implementation of 4D planning, digital reporting, and automated workflows

· Drive continuous improvement through innovation and lessons learned


Our Ideal Candidate

You are a highly experienced construction leader with strong client-side experience on large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects.

You are confident managing contractors, driving site performance, and leading teams in high-pressure environments. You combine practical construction knowledge with a forward-thinking approach to digital delivery and innovation.


Experience Required

· 10–15+ years’ experience in construction management

· Proven experience on Data Centre / Mission Critical projects (essential)

· Experience working in a client-side / owner’s representative role preferred

· Strong background in managing large-scale MEP-intensive projects

· Experience delivering projects from construction through commissioning and handover

· International project experience is advantageous

· Strong leadership and on-site decision-making capability

· Excellent contractor and stakeholder management skills

· Deep understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and coordination

· Ability to drive programme performance and resolve complex site challenges

· Data-driven mindset with experience using digital tools in construction delivery

· Strong communication and reporting skills
