(Remote / Hybrid – Commercial Tenant Improvements)

We are seeking an experienced Interior Architect / Interior Designer with a strong commercial tenant improvement (TI) background to support ongoing commercial projects. This position is ideal for a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional who can independently produce construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and assist with project execution from field verification through permitting and construction.

This is primarily a remote position with occasional daytime site meetings and in-office coordination as needed.

    Approximately 25–40 hours per week

Responsibilities

    Produce complete Construction Document (CD) packages for commercial tenant improvement projects 

    Develop floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, and finish plans 

    Perform field measurements and existing conditions verification 

    Coordinate drawings with MEP, structural, and other consultants 

    Assist with permitting and plan check corrections 

    Coordinate with contractors and respond to RFIs as needed 

    Attend project meetings, site visits, and coordination meetings during standard business hours 

    Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and ADA requirements 

    Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently 

Required Qualifications

    Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial architecture or interior design 

    Expert proficiency in AutoCAD 2022 or newer 

    Strong experience producing complete commercial TI construction document sets 

    Extensive field measuring and site verification experience 

    Commercial project experience in office, retail, hospitality, medical, or similar environments 

    Strong understanding of construction detailing and commercial building systems 

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 

    Excellent communication and organizational skills 

Preferred Qualifications

    Working knowledge of Revit 

    Experience coordinating with consultants and permitting agencies 

    Knowledge of California building codes and ADA compliance 

    Experience with Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite 

    NCIDQ certification or architectural licensure is a plus 

Work Requirements

    Must be available for site meetings and coordination during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) 

    Candidate should be located within reasonable driving distance for occasional project site visits and meetings 

Compensation

    Competitive hourly compensation based on experience 

    Typical range: $45–$75 per hour
