Senior Project Manager – Architecture (Remote / Hybrid)

Overview
We’re a national architecture firm with a diverse portfolio seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Mission Critical team, to oversee multiple architectural projects from early design through construction completion. This role carries full responsibility for client satisfaction, project performance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect or senior leader with proven experience managing complex projects, mentoring staff, and strengthening client partnerships while upholding design and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary client contact for multiple projects, developing long-term relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and results
• Oversee all project phases, from planning and design through construction administration and post-occupancy review
• Lead internal teams and consultants to coordinate design, documentation, and delivery strategies across concurrent projects
• Ensure all work meets firm quality standards, budgets, schedules, and applicable building codes
• Support the design process, including programming, conceptual design, and schematic development
• Guide and mentor project managers and staff, promoting collaboration and consistent project execution
• Evaluate project performance and share lessons learned to improve processes and results across teams
• Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and problem-solving
• Lead client presentations, public hearings, and project meetings as needed
• Oversee coordination of project schedules, deliverables, and labor plans, recalibrating as necessary
• Review and ensure financial performance of projects, including budgets, invoicing, and resource allocation
• Integrate firm-wide best practices and sustainable design strategies across all projects
• Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and pursuit strategy
• Travel as required for project meetings, site visits, and client engagements

Qualifications
• Professional degree in Architecture or related field
• 15+ years of architectural experience with extensive project management leadership
• Architectural registration preferred
• LEED or sustainability credential preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam; intermediate knowledge of Navisworks and Revit
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Twinmotion, or Enscape
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, building systems, codes, and QA/QC processes
• Experience managing full project lifecycles, from design through post-occupancy
• Advanced organizational and logistics management skills across multiple projects
• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities
• Proven experience leading teams with a diplomatic, collaborative leadership style
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to deliver creative, practical solutions
• Demonstrated success managing budgets, schedules, and project quality standards
