A well-established Civil Construction environment is looking for a strong Site Agent/Construction Manager to take full ownership of on-site project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on-site, leads from the front and enjoys managing the full construction lifecycle — from planning through to final handover.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • BEng / BTech / ND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction (min. 3 years in a supervisory role)
  • ECSA or SACPCMP registration preferred
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of SANS, ISO, and construction standards
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to be site-based
  • Plan and manage project execution in line with contractual programs
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and plant resources
  • Oversee materials, plant, labour, and site logistics
  • Manage costs, cash flow, and project performance vs budget
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and quality standards
  • Handle client, engineer, and stakeholder relationships on-site
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and protect company interests
