Our Student Intern Preceptorship program provides students with an immersive office practice experience prior to graduation. The Preceptorship Program at ADG Blatt is designed to complement your academic studies with practical, on-the-job learning. This internship will provide you with an understanding of actual practice beyond the classroom, helping you build the skills and maturity required to excel in the architectural field.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Student Intern, you will be a valuable member of an architectural project team and have the opportunity to participate in various project phases, including:

  • Assisting with the development of construction documents
  • Participating in team and client meetings
  • Contributing to project design and technical development
  • Attending construction site visits to support construction administration
  • Learning about the business aspects of architectural practice, including marketing and office operations
  • Collaborating with licensed architects and professionals in real-time projects

 

Professional Mentorship & Development:

  • You will be assigned an AXP Supervisor in accordance with NCARB AXP requirements, who will mentor you, oversee your progress, and ensure that you meet your Cooperative Education curriculum requirements.
  • Your AXP Supervisor will support your professional growth and serve as a resource, providing guidance throughout your experience at ADG Blatt.
  • Upon completion, the AXP Supervisor will verify and sign your AXP forms, ensuring you earn the credits needed toward licensure.

 

Eligibility:

  • Must be an architectural student seeking to fulfill the Cooperative Education curriculum requirements as part of their degree.
  • Must be enrolled in a program that aligns with the NCARB AXP standards for gaining experience.
