Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Transportation Planner to oversee Truckload and Intermodal operations across the U.S. and Canada. This role is accountable for driving service excellence, optimizing cost and performance, and ensuring all activities are executed with integrity, transparency, and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, results-oriented, and skilled in building strong carrier and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Truckload (FTL) and Intermodal (IMD) operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and service reliability.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate carrier performance, network efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with internal teams and external carriers to ensure alignment with business goals and customer requirements.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Proactively address service risks, capacity challenges, and operational disruptions with transparency and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and process discipline across all transportation activities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in North American transportation, with expertise in Truckload and Intermodal operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in leveraging data for decision-making and performance management.
  • Proven track record of improving carrier performance and driving cost efficiency through metrics and KPIs.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with transparency, integrity, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

The base pay range for this role is $65,450 up to $98,900 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
