Location: DFW Metroplex (On-Site)
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience)

We are seeking a detail-driven Transportation Planner to join our on-site operations team in Dallas-Fort Worth.
As a Transportation Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring freight moves efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, understands trucking operations, and can leverage technology and analysis to optimize routing solutions.
Plan and dispatch freight loads to meet on-time pickup and delivery targets.
Balance internal fleet assets with brokered carriers to meet customer demand.
Monitor freight volumes and lane trends; identify and escalate inefficiencies to leadership.
Manage customer account load counts while maintaining service-level commitments.
Maximize truck utilization and reduce empty miles through effective planning strategies.
Partner with internal brokerage teams to supplement capacity when necessary.
Develop creative routing and relay strategies to ensure service reliability.
Support logistics team on rotating Saturday schedule (every 4th Saturday, 7:00 AM 2:00 PM).
Work core schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM, with flexibility for extended hours or weekend coverage.
Perform additional logistics and operations support tasks as needed.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with TMS systems, AS400, and load planning tools.
Strong skills in Excel and/or BI platforms for analysis and reporting.
Understanding of DOT regulations, freight lane management, and OTR operations.
Knowledge of route optimization strategies and cost-control methods.

Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics coordination.
Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
Prior experience in freight brokerage or third-party carrier coordination is a plus.
