We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction activities on a large-scale data centre project in Copenhagen. This role involves managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams, you will play a key role in driving project progress and ensuring successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate construction activities across the project.
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality and security requirements.
- Implement and monitor site safety and quality assurance procedures, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Coordinate project schedules with planners, subcontractors, consultants and project managers.
- Monitor project costs, including labour, materials, plant, equipment, variations and valuations.
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress against programme deadlines and monitoring workforce levels.
- Lead regular subcontractor meetings and attend site meetings, engineering reviews, planning sessions and project reviews.
- Review construction drawings and setting-out details, ensuring works meet project specifications.
- Manage changes to project scope, ensuring cost and programme impacts are properly recorded.
- Prepare daily progress reports, weekly safety statistics and labour forecasts.
- Identify and resolve construction issues, coordinating the close-out of snags and outstanding works.
- Oversee project handover, including operation and maintenance manuals, safety files, quality records and final accounts.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Manager.
- Trade background or relevant third-level qualification.
- Strong understanding of design and construction processes.
- Proven experience coordinating and managing large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and project programmes effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control and change management.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality and project coordination in a demanding construction environment.
