We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee on-site electrical works for a major engineering project in Hamina, Finland. This role involves managing daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors and driving productivity to ensure project milestones are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Working closely with project managers, engineers and site teams, you will play a key role in coordinating electrical activities and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate electrical design activities, liaising with consultants and subcontractors and participating in design reviews.
- Develop and monitor daily and weekly work plans, ensuring productivity targets and project milestones are achieved.
- Ensure site teams have the necessary access, information, materials and resources to complete planned works.
- Manage day-to-day site operations, supervising personnel and monitoring progress.
- Coordinate and oversee specialist electrical subcontractors.
- Support the Project Manager with construction planning, programme development and the delivery of scheduled works.
- Communicate project progress, costs and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage site health and safety and quality assurance in line with project requirements and company procedures.
- Liaise with quality control and health and safety teams to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the wider construction workforce.
- Identify and address issues affecting productivity, quality or project timelines.
- Electrical trade background is essential.
- 8+ years of construction management experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction and on-site project delivery.
- Excellent leadership, delegation and organisational skills.
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach to health and safety, quality control and programme management.
