Introduction

KIMDU Consulting Engineers is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Construction Manager / Area Construction Manager for project-based opportunities in mining and industrial environments.

The role is suited to candidates with strong construction delivery capability across multidisciplinary technical teams, including contractor coordination, resource planning, safety leadership, quality oversight, and progress management on engineering and construction projects. Candidates with mining, industrial, EPCM, infrastructure, or plant construction experience will be well suited to this opportunity.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate construction activities across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and delivery requirements
  • Coordinate contractors, site teams, and technical interfaces to support project execution
  • Monitor progress, identify construction risks and constraints, and support corrective actions
  • Assist with construction planning, reporting, and resource coordination
  • Support QA/QC, contractor performance, and site compliance requirements
  • Contribute to change management, schedule recovery, and construction reporting processes
  • Ensure alignment of construction activities with project objectives and operational requirements
  • Support stakeholder engagement across site, project, and contractor teams

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Experience in construction management, contractor management, and site-based project delivery
  • Exposure to mining, industrial, infrastructure, plant, or EPCM construction environments
  • Strong understanding of construction progress, quality, safety, and reporting requirements
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary construction activities and site interfaces
  • Experience in risk identification, schedule support, and construction issue resolution
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination capability
