Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Site Construction Management & Project Oversight
Supervise, coordinate, and control all daily site build infrastructures (civil foundations, structural layout,
and electrical integrations) to ensure adherence to technical drawings.
Manage site execution timelines in accordance with project lifecycles, baseline schedules, and
technical engineering configurations.
Administer engineering and construction contracts, manage sub-contractor deliverables, address
schedule variances, and optimize material resources dynamically.
2. Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)
Enforce absolute on-site adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Construction
Regulations, and Eskom internal safety procedures.
Oversee and ratify technical Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) while leading progressive data pack
compilation for smooth progressive client handover and commissioning.
Ensure robust site hazard tracking, check safety parameters during critical plant operations, and maintain
a zero-incident culture.
3. Stakeholder Management & Progress Reporting
Serve as the primary on-site construction representative to interface seamlessly with Project
Managers, Engineers, Clerk of Works, and community structures.
Compile clear weekly and monthly operational reports tracking physical progress milestones, variations,
safety metrics, and quality close-outs.
