Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee major civil engineering projects from commencement through to completion. The successful candidate will be comfortable working away from the Western Cape head office and will bring proven experience delivering water-related infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
- SACPCMP and/or ECSA registration.
- 5–10 years’ relevant civil construction experience.
- Proven experience with water-retaining concrete structures.
- Experience on projects such as WWTW, WTW, deep pump stations and 5ML reservoirs.
- Proven completion of 2–3 similar civil engineering projects valued at more than R30 million each.
- Strong project planning and scheduling capability.
- Willingness to work away from the Western Cape when required.

Education: B-Tech or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, or BEng/BScEng degree
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil engineering construction projects in their entirety, from planning and mobilisation through to completion.
- Oversee site operations, construction programmes, resources, subcontractors and project teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within programme and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, costs, productivity and construction performance.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable construction, health and safety and quality requirements.
- Manage project documentation, reporting and construction schedules.
- Apply Candy and/or MS Project knowledge to project planning and scheduling.
