Looking for experienced Project Construction Managers to manage site-based operations for major industrial projects in the North West.

About Our Client

Our client operates within the engineering, procurement, and construction management industry. They specialize in processing, engineering, and project management for large-scale mining and minerals projects across South Africa.

The Role: Project Construction Manager

The purpose of this role is to manage site-based construction activities for major industrial projects valued between R300 million and R400 million in the North West province. The role requires full site presence to oversee operations over a project-based contract duration of 12 to 18 months.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project construction with over 20 years of relevant experience in the industry with similar EPCM companies

  • Oversee site-based construction activities for major industrial projects from start to finish

  • Deliver project management requirements on site for 12 to 18 month project-based contracts

  • Provide full site-based management and oversee daily operational activities

  • Ensure excellent communication and apply people skills across site operations

  • Maintain good health and physical ability to remain active on site

Desired Experience & Qualification

About You

  • Over 20 years of relevant industry experience with similar EPCM companies (DRA, Worley Parsons, TWP, Hatch, RSV, Wood, METC, SGS, etc.)

  • Engineering qualification required

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Good health to be active on site

  • Age under 60 years old (40-55 ideal)

  • Ability to provide own transport, accommodation, and meals within TCTC

  • Construction project management qualification preferred

  • Concentrator or Smelter project experience at Valterra Platinum or Sibanye Stillwater preferred
