Introduction

Our client is a multi‑disciplinary engineering house specialising in water, municipal infrastructure, commercial construction, and civil engineering projects. They deliver complex projects across government and commercial sectors and are seeking an experienced Professional Project Manager and or Construction Project Manager with PrPM/PrCPM/SACPCMP accreditation to lead full project lifecycles from planning to close‑out.  This is a permanent position that will be based at H/O. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define projects scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Develop detailed project, programme, and cost plans.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams to achieve milestones and quality standards.
  • Monitor progress, budgets, risks, and deliverables; prepare scheduled reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with IMS, OHS, environmental requirements, and statutory processes.
  • Conduct post‑project evaluations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, and issues

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • 5–10 years project management experience in engineering consulting (Civil, QS, Architecture) and/or construction management.
  • Proven track record managing full project lifecycles.
  • Experience working with Local Government, parastatals, and public‑sector processes.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, risk management, change management, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with funding applications (MIG, RBIG, NDPG, etc.).
  • Strong MS Office and project management software capability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Built Environment discipline (Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying).
  • Professional Registration (PrPM or PrCPM) – SACPCMP.
  • Certificate in Labour‑Intensive Construction (NQF 7).
  • Advantageous: PMP certification, OHS competency, MS Projects certification, and advanced MS Office/PM software skills
